Welding machines shall be verified using equipment calibrated to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (N.I.S.T) standards. This equipment shall be calibrated at least annually or if accuracy of the equipment is questioned. B&B Calibration recommends that welding machines meet these same standards as a company requirement. If you already have a calibration procedure in place we can meet your requirements.
In an effort to verify current amp and volt meter readings on welding machines, B&B Calibration uses both a calibrated load bank and voltage/amperage meter for verification and calibration.
Welding machines that can be calibrated include analog or digital voltage and amperage displays. Unfortunately, welding machines that do not have analog or digital displays can not be calibrated.
Upon verification/calibration of a welding machine, a calibration sticker is affixed to the machine and a calibration certificate is mailed to the company representative,
